Summary of Contributions
- Since our group was unfortunate to not have access to a Master student for programming our game, I took it upon myself to become the groups lead programmer as I at the time had the best knowledge of how to use Unreal Script. This meant that I was taking on the brunt of the work load such as creating the functionality of the player, enemies and other various pieces of gameplay that were to be included.
- Since I was becoming the teams lead programmer, this meant I was also taking on the role as the UI programmer. I created the functionality behind the player's HUD and the different menus that the player would interact with such as the death screen and main menu.
- I was also the animation programmer, this meant I was responsible for the blending of different animations and for the animations used by the player and the enemies.
- I took on the role as Assistant Producer for the team as well. This meant that I would explain the progress and state of the project to the lecturers each week, manage the team on each of their assigned tasks and their progress and assist with any of their difficulties. I also arranged for meeting times for the team but this would usually be on a Tuesday when meeting with the lecturer. I also organised a team group chat on Facebook to be used in the event of any important information that had to be acknowledged as quick as possible.
